Deer Lake/Chewelah

Elder Simmons

Webb Ave

Hey everyone,

This was another good week up here in Washington! Elder Simmons and I have been starting to see some really cool things happen in these areas! We had our ups and downs this week so that was good to see, because it helps us to learn and grow.

First of all in Deer Lake this week we were able to find four new people to teach! Which is super awesome and we are very grateful for it! We had scheduled in times to meet with three of them yesterday but unfortunately none of them worked out :( but it's all good because we still are going to be able to go by later and teach them. Deer Lake is super pretty and the place that we stay in up here is pretty nice so it's been great so far!

In Chewelah we haven't been able to find anyone new quite yet but we are getting there. We have found a few potentials that seem like they are super solid and we are excited to be able to teach them. One cool experience that we had this week was on Friday. We were walking down Main Street in Chewelah and saw a couple of girls walking behind us so we stopped and were acting like we were trying to figure something out (when in reality we were waiting so we could talk to them). So when they came up we talked with them, one said that she wasn't religious and not interested at the time, but the other said that she actually has already been reading the Book of Mormon. She told us that her boyfriend is a return missionary and that his family had given her a Book of Mormon and she has been reading it! So we of course ask her if she would like to meet up and talk about it more and she is said that she is wanting to do that. Super cool miracle! We hope that we are able to meet with her again soon.

I hope everyone is continuing to grow in their faith in Christ. I was thinking this week about how before I was a missionary it was a challenge to grow in my faith but since I've been out it's much easier to grow spiritually. There is a lot of different distractions out there that can keep us away from growing and so my challenge for you this week is to try and use a little more time to grow in your faith. I hope that you all have a great week!

Your friendly neighborhood,

Elder Webb

We also found Webb Ave and this cool fire truck!
