¡FAMILIA!
This week was great! It was transfer week this week! There are lots of changes in the zone, but me and elder Torijano are still comps. he is a good guy, and we are getting along better!
funny story:
I was on a public a bus and some crazy old lady (about 65 years old and no more then 4 foot 8) was trying to get off a really crowded bus. I litterally could not move. I had the misfortune to be blocking her way off and she just ducks her head and ran people over. Fortunately she didn't do me too much damage, but it was quite the experience, from what people tell me I think the Falcons could have used her help yesterday!!! hahahha
Fun story:
So today because of transfers we didn't have our weekly meeting with President De Leon. It was nice because we got permission to go on a hike. We hiked up to a cross someone put on the hill!! It was realy fun! One of the elders that went with us Elder Howell has become a really good friend! He just finished his first transfer in the field, but is already an excelent missionary and a great friend! It was a good old time! i havn't hiked in forever. I felt like I was back in AZ for a second! haha
A little about some investigators:
Right now we are working with a couple named Enrique and Nayeli. I think maybe I have mentioned them before, but I am unsure. They are a couple expecting a baby! They are so humble and accept the teachings of the gospel of Christ and are willing to make and keep committments. They have now assisted 4 or 5 weeks straight to church. (more then any other investigator I have worked with) Please pray for them as they plan to get married this week and be baptized next Saturday on the 18th. Please pray that they can with stand temptaions of coffee and tabacco!
Insight:
this week I read the talk "come what may, and love it" by Joseph B wirthlin
I LOVED IT!!!!
I think my favorite part is when it says
"The Lord in His wisdom does not shield anyone from grief or sadness."
I love that. None of us has it easy. There is a purpose to that. We may not understand the purpose, but we can be sure the Lord has a purpose! We can all grow from difficulties and thats why he does not shield us. If life were easy life would be pointles.. The dufficulties sharpen and refine us. That we enjoy that refining process is my prayer. In Christ name, Amen.
Love you!!!
