Well this past week we had transfers and I am still here with Elder Rojas. I have a new Zone Leader from Utah named Elder Moon. He is the size of Goliath. I think he is the tallest missionary in our mission.
My district is doing pretty well as we have a good number of people that are attending church but we are having a little bit of trouble finding. I'm not gonna lie, it's hard to worry about my area but now I need to worry about three more! But I think that is going to prepare me for my future family haha. As district leader I am going to be able to meet with president once every month in a special meeting with all the leaders of the mission.
This past week we met someone that thinks we worship another Christ.
This Sunday we are shooting for 3 baptisms as we are going to have Stake Conference with President Stauffer.
We didn't have too much success this week but we did find and take care of an awesome young man. We found Reiser because our appointment didn't work out so we decided to knock on his neighbor's door. He took the decision to be baptized but told us that he couldn't attend because he has a debt with the bank and has to work. We read with him Mosiah 2: 23-24 that says we are all indebted to God. I asked him, 'How do you think that you can pay your debt to God and to the bank?' He decided that it was more important to attend. Then we asked him, 'Do you believe that God will help you pay your debt to the bank if you pay your debt to Him?' He said yes. He then attended on Sunday!
I think it is important to understand that every one of us are indebted to God. That is why I am paying Him with my time here in Peru. To serve someone else always is the way to have happiness.
