Hellooooo family! Special Happy 11th Birthday shout out to my little brother Sione! I'm sure mom, dad, and the rest of the family spoiled you. Ofa lahi atu! Malo e lelei family. Well first off, I'm staying put in Nakolo for another 6 weeks! I'm still companions with Elder Chand too, who is my trainer and I'm really excited I get to keep working with him. This past week has been tough. On Tuesday we went by to visit the Taufa family again and we actually got to Saane for the first time in a long time. She was actually outside of her house doing laundry and my companion and I got to talk with her for a couple of minutes. We actually couldn't teach her at the time since she was the only one home. So we asked her if we could come by another time and she told us that if she was free this week she would tell one of her kids to let us know. That was a bummer because we didn't get another chance to teach her again. On the bright side though, this week I got to give a blessing! One of the members in our ward, Tavake, can't come to church anymore because of his feet and leg are all swollen. I'm not sure why his legs and feet are like that, but it's gotten to the point where he can't walk anymore so he just stays at home. While we were on exchanges this week, I had the feeling to stop by Tavake's house and so we did. Well when we got to his house he and his wife just got home from the hospital so we talked with them for a couple minutes and then as we were talking I had the impression that I needed to ask Tavake if he needed a blessing and so I did. Tavake and his wife happily replied yes and so my comp and I had the special opportunity to give him a blessing. Although I'm still learning how to give a blessing in Tongan, I am grateful for the special privilege that I have to act in our Savior's name and to represent him.
My companion and I also got to give a talk yesterday in church and I was super nervous this whole week leading up to Sunday. Since it'd be my first talk I'd give in Tongan and it'd be my first talk since I've been here I was stressing a little too much about it. Well believe it or not, my talk actually turned out better than I thought it would so that's good haha. We also had a musical fireside last night and all the missionaries in this stake, including me, sang. I did not want to sing for it but it was our District Leader who volunteered us to sing for the fireside so we did. Well while we were singing our song a lot of people started laughing, but I didn't mind it because I already know I can't sing hahaha.
Well This week was another hard week but I'm glad I survived it. Thank you all so much for your emails. I'll continue to keep you guys in my daily prayers, ofa lahi atu ki moutolu!
