Caldwell, Texas, United States

Weekly Letter

Another week with fun and games, started with piano lessons, visits, and Branch mission meeting, Tues was more visits then we went to the Methodists Church and helped set up for the Quilt Guild Christmas Party,(we couldn't attend) because early Wed. morning we were in College Station with Sister Evans for some outpatient surgery, by the time we got back to Caldwell, it was after 2:00 PM and the Sister Missionaries were at our Apartment printing up Baptism programs, more visits. Thurs. we were at Sis. Lays early to replace a tap, replace wheels on her walker, and move some plants. Picked up the Hagan kids from school, took a present to Miley for her Birthday, then went to Bryan for the Baptism of Coner Russell and Elder Larsen gave a Blessing to his Grandmother, we went back to Hearne for a Pizza Party and it was after 10:00 PM by the time we got home. Friday it was back to College Station for District Meeting, then did more visits, and made pecan rolls to give away, Mary Cromo to the hosp. so we missed Curtis' s Baptism. Sat. we were at the Food Bank and helped give out 5,000 lbs. of food to 250 families. This the season for Good Will toward all men, and we have not seen so many show up to help with the food distribution. One School set up at the end of the line and gave out presents to all the Children (cookies to the older people) We had prepared for cold weather, but the temp was in the 70's but last night, the wind blew hard removing the leaves from the trees, and the temp dropped to the low 20's - I'm sure this is not unusual for many who get this letter, but it is unusual for this part of Texas.
Remember it is not the things you do at Christmas time, but the Christmas things you do all year through. Love the Larsen's
