Weekly Letter

What a fun week, Sunday we had a new family in Caldwell, they had an eight year old daughter who's birthday was today = so after Church, we went to the Mitchell Ranch and she was baptized in their pond, their family did the program and Bro Mitchell did the baptism. great Spiritual experience. This brought back memories of Guyana, where we baptized in the trenches. Monday we went to Bryan to check on Dan Smith who is still in the Hospital, Took the Sisters out to dinner. The Hagan car is having problems, so this week we left our apartment at 7:00 AM (each day) to take their kids to school, Sister Larsen went to the Dr. to check her progress. All is well but they added an extra pill. Did some help for Sis. Lay, (have to do some physical exercise) Spent some time with Sis. Foster doing family History and now have our own names to take to the temple. Went to visit the Coy Goodwin Family to get acuainted We were just finishing our visit, when Pres. Foster called trying to find someone to take Dan to Waco to fill his pain pump, that is out of our mission, so we couldn't go, but we put him in touch with Bro. Goodwin who hasn't started his job yet. The Lord puts us in the right place at the right time, to accomplish His work. Saturday was Couples Conf. in Houston and time to say Good by to the Nelsons who will be going home soon, We had to take a White Elephant that wasn't purchased, Sister Larsen took a Sock monkey that she made to show the Young Women and Elder Larsen took a carved Nativity (Then in the end gave a nativity to each of the Couples serving here- 13 nativities) We then came back to the Baptism of Kristy Russel, She is a single mom ( about 30 years old,) Such a spiritual time, she had her mom who joined a few months ago,her Grandma, her sister and husband and her daughter and son, all non members. When she came up out of the water, she let out a squeel of delight ( this is the eighth convert baptism this year for the Hearne Branch which had only 10 to 15 attending when we arrived) = Fun to see someone so excited to be a member of the Church. We see small miracles every day that makes a mission a real joy.
Wishing you the Best of the Season Love the Larsens
