Wow what a week. I got my new compañero and his name is Elder Neck... oh perdon Elder Coello in Spanish. Hes from the big H! No not Houston but the other big H(ondures). Hes been out here on the mission for 21 months!! That means that he is probably going to die here in my area. He told me the time just flies which I can testify of. I've been out here for about 4 and a half months and I remember the CCM like it was yesterday!
We have a mission goal of bringing 1000 people to Christ through the ordinance of baptism this year and the asistentes gave an inspiring pump up speech about how we can achieve this goal. So we have been searching for every possible person here in our area that we can teach this month. Our goal is 3 baptisms in 2 weeks and if you didn't know, that's a lot of work. We have one girl who is scheduled to be baptized on December 26th, her name is Natalia and she is part of a family who are members, but don't come to church on a regular basis. That gives us two more to go and we have 7 more days left. Wish us luck.
It don't feel like Christmas out here in Cancún but it has been a bit colder! Like actually cold in the mornings to enjoyable in the afternoons which is a nice break from consent sun. I am going to miss Christmas back at home but here it ain't so bad. I know a lot of the members here in my area now so they are treating me like family which is pretty noice.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Go out and serve somebody in need! That's what we will be doing! (We are actually going to chop some trees for someone so I'm excited to use my mothers lucky machete!)
