Week 14 in Ndola -- 6 More Baptisms this week for our District. It's awesome!

Hey everyone! To start off I am feeling much better this week! On Thursday I was back to my normal self again and ready to get to work.

This week me and my companion had a very successful week as far as maximising our time teaching. We were able to progress a lot of our investigators and even put some on date for baptism. This week we gave Agnes a date and she accepted. I am impressed with her level of understanding. She is probably 50+ years old and she was already baptised when she was a girl, but she understood that sense she was just sprinkled that she would need to be baptised again by immersion and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost in order to enter the Kingdom of God. (John 3:5) We were also able to give a girl named Jennifer a date for baptism. She is 9 years old, she comes to church every Sunday, she was just given the choice to be baptised when she felt ready and I guess now she feels ready, so lucky us haha.

Right now we have a lot of potential in the area where I am serving. We have potential to have 6-7 of our investigators with baptismal dates by the end of this week. I am just continually surprised at the way the Lord prepares and brings people into our paths so that we can teach them the message of the Restored Gospel and invited them to come unto Christ.

This week we started teaching a new Security Guard that works at our church and he is pretty "Golden." We taught him the beginning of the Restoration and he liked the message so much that he invited us to come and teach his whole family and they would even prepare food for us. Well that appointment fell through due to bad cell service but we still have potential with him. He has already said during our church meetings, "Even though I am not a member of your church yet, I would like to make a comment." So we hope to meet with him again this week and teach his whole family.

Well this last week I was able to preform another baptismal interview for the Sister that serve in town. They had a well prepared candidate for baptism. This guy named Martin Mulenga is very intelligent and will be a great strength the Ndola Town Branch.

Well this week we should be having 6 baptisms as a District which I am really looking forward to being a part of. One of them is for our investigator named Beauty Mendlul. She is to be interviewed this week and baptised on Saturday which happens to be her 18th Birthday, so that should be a pretty special experience. I love being apart of this great work!! Missionary work truly is the greatest! I was so so so happy today to get on and find out that my younger brother Reagan will be join me in the mission field in August of this year. And what adds more to my joy is that we will both be serving on the wonderful continent of Africa! Ghana is going to be great for you bro!

Well that's a wrap for this week. Until next week. Sending love from Africa! The church is true. I know that my Redeemer lives and loves each of us.The Book of Mormon, Bible and other scriptures really do contain the word of God. Let's not take for granted what we have been given. Joseph Smith really is the father of the Restoration and President Russel M. Nelson is the chosen Prophet of God today. I believe this with all my heart.

Have a blessed week!!

Pictures this week: Me and my companion were able to attend a meeting for the American Embassy sense I am an American and we get to go everywhere together. So we enjoyed a nice night at the Nicest Hotel in Ndola. Protea Hotel treated us right. We also got A&W Root beer from America. Ahhh it was so good.
