The weather hasn't been too ridiculously cold lately, so we've got this weird thing going where the snow melts a tiny bit during the day and then refreezes overnight. So, basically, all week the city was ice, and we had fun with it, haha (Note: videos won't post in this e-mail; they'll be uploaded to Facebook.)!
In other news, we had a first lesson with someone and it went really well. We're hoping that he'll come to our special christmas service on the 23rd, along with a few other people we're working with right now!
We had to escort a babushka home from church the other day because she wasn't feeling too good and the ice is super slippery. This lady is crazy but hilarious! All the way home, she recited crazy long poems and riddles to us. One poem was about 3 minutes long and it was about Christ being born to Mary and it was pretty. She really got into it when she recited them! Her passion even moved her body sometimes, so it's a good thing we were with her or else she would have slipped pretty bad. Elder Baggaley and I finally have a glance into what babushki do during their day-to-day lives . . . they memorize poems! Go memorize a poem and release your inner babushka. ;)
