Elder Bevan Rawson

Week 33

Well, today I'm finally feeling like a part of the new mission! The new mission's missionaries arrived this morning and we've been together all day. They've already told us about some things that are different in the two missions. For example, they can go to a gym for their workout time, and they can go contacting in normal clothes. I'm not sure if I'll ever see that in my mission, though, because a new mission president comes in this week and for all I know he'll change everything. So I'll keep you posted.

This week stunk because we spent it cleaning, packing, moving, unpacking, and doing all the other stuff you have to do when you move apartments. We weren't able to do traditional missionary work for the whole week which is a real shame because that's actually what gets us up in the mornings. But at least moving is over and we can go to work tomorrow.

We sent a few Odessa missionaries home last night, including my trainer Elder Neuffer, and really it just reminded me how much longer I have on my mission still, haha! Sometimes I feel like I've been here forever, so those kids were seasoned vets.

My new companion is Elder Rawson, and he's been out in the field 2 transfers (12 weeks) longer than me. He's from South Jordan, Utah, and also played soccer in high school. That's about all I know about him so far, haha! He only arrived a little while ago.

Well, that's pretty much it! Lots of change going on, but we'll finally be able to do our thing tomorrow, so we'll be back to the grind!

Love you all. Hope life is good!
