Life is good! P-days are way more packed here in Odessa than elsewhere, so I only have 20 minutes. Sadly, the Vogelbergs (senior missionary couple) will be moving home soon, so we helped them move apartments. We also just got to hang out with other missionaries which was a wonderful change for me. They’re a cool group—athletic—and I like them all. Playing gatorball was awesome! And we got shawarma for lunch.
My companion, Elder Schaumann, is from Upland, California (near Pasadena), smart, went to BYU the same two semesters that I did, and has been out one more transfer than me (6 weeks). His mom is Russian; his dad is German (but passed away when he was three). His mom spoke to him in Russian a lot, so he understands it pretty easily and he speaks it quite well, too, but the impressive thing is that he can hear it like a native.
Sorry, gtg. Love you! Bye!
