Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day!
So yesterday we had someone we're teaching come to church with us! I could tell she was a little bit overwhelmed because she had only started to believe in God recently and there was just so much new information and words and concepts flying around, but the members of our branch were great to her and she was all smiles when she went back home!
I've learned a lot about patience recently. I want to tell our investigators all the amazing things I know about God and how he can bless every aspect of their lives, but they can't possibly absorb so much at once! This stuff is life changing, and it takes a while for it all to sink in. It's taken me many years to begin to understand these things, and I can't possibly expect someone else to have a rock solid testimony of Jesus Christ in a few weeks.
I've also learned about having patience with myself. I want to be better at Russian so bad, but growth is slow, and sometimes I beat myself up for it. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not going to be fluent in a week. The tricky part is that I have to be patient with my Russian, all while working my absolute hardest to improve it as fast as possible. I know that as long as I pray and believe as if it's all up to Him, and work as if it's all up to me, He'll help me learn Russian as quickly as He wants me to.
Also, for some reason I want to challenge you to take a moment to think about what's most important to you, and then ponder about if your life is in accordance with that.
