Week 22: Christmas Spirit and Christmas Baptism

Hey everyone!

It is officially December, which means it's that time of year when we turn our focus to Jesus Christ in preparation for Christmas. Of course as missionaries, our focus is always on Jesus Christ. However it is still a very special time to be a missionary because so many people have their hearts softened and are really to hear the gospel. We have seen quite a few people who haven't been interested in the past open up a little when we start to talk about Christmas, it has been a big blessing for us. We're excited to continue talking about Christmas and seeing that miracles that come. We also really loved last night's Christmas devotional! We had someone actually call us in the middle of it who had been having a hard time we invited him to watch it and feel the peace that comes, he said he will so we are excited to see what he thought!

The biggest miracle of the week was Christian's baptism!!! He was baptized yesterday and everything went really smoothly (until I sort of fell in trying to unplug the font after everyone left). It was the first time we ever met him in person. It almost felt like he was a stranger because we've only done a couple of video calls and he looks a lot different in person but when we all closed our eyes and he said the closing prayer it felt just like we were on a phone call again which is how we taught him almost every time. It was a really weird experience but he was definitely ready. I hope I don't get transferred this week so I can keep working with him and helping him through the first few months of being a member.

Have a great week!
