Week 16: "Eggcited" to be in Quarantine

Kumusta po kayong lahat!!
-Elder Celaya

We got transfer news this week! Elder Larsen and I will be staying, while Elder Celaya will be opening up a new area here in the zone. Tomorrow, We will drive to Syracuse to pick up our new Elder. He is brand new to the mission so unfortunately we will be going into another 2 week quarantine. We now have 127 eggs in our fridge so hopefully the new missionary isn't allergic to eggs. (He eats a 4 egg, veggie burrito with lots of salsa every day for lunch. 2 weeks not going to the store with 3 elders requires a lot of eggs.)

Other than the transfer news, we've been teaching as much as we can, but our teaching pool has shrunk down to about 6 people. We've had some struggles to find new people that are interested in meeting with us, hopefully this week goes a little better for us. We've still been working with our friends Che and Wayne a lot over the past few days. Wayne was able to watch the whole zoom meeting for church this week which was great and we were able to introduce who Jesus Christ is and why he matters to our friend Che. It's been exciting to work with them, but at least right now, we've been having a lot of time to make random phone calls. Hopefully things pick up a bit in the near future so that our new companion can have plenty of teaching experiences.

Have a great week!
Elder Walker
