Week 15: Excited to Work

Bom dia irmãos e irmãs!

This week seemed super short. It was one day shorter than every other week because of our trip to Palmyra last week, but I really feel like I just wrote an email a couple days ago. These past few weeks we've had a couple of people who have begun to start progressing. One of them is also Che, he's from China and has no religious experience whatsoever, but he is really interested in learning more. Our other friend who has begun to progress is named Wayne (no I have not been seeking out all the people named Wayne in my areas, but maybe I should start). Wayne has been trying to rebuild his faith in God which has become somewhat stagnant over the past few years. We've known him for a while, but he is now just beginning to meet with us more frequently. There haven't been a ton of things going on, but we're just glad to be here and excited to work with our friends even more and help them build their faith.

One final note this week. This Sunday, one of the sacrament meeting talks fell through and I was asked to speak in church. I didn't have much time to prepare, but luckily we have 10 hours of brand new conference talks that haven't yet been used in the Potsdam branch. I spoke on having patience in trials. I used a couple quotes from Elder Holland 's talk from this last conference. It wss a really great talk and I encourage all of you to read it this week.

Have a great week!
Elder Walker
