Lake Elsinore

Elder Kyle Phister

Week 5

This past week was insane and we found five more investigators three of them was a family that we taught. And the other two were separate people that we also found street contacting. We originally found their family through the father, he was in his garage smoking weed when we first found him and he told us we could come back.
We did and he actually was super cool and his family is awesome, and that is why you don't judge people. They want us to continue to come back and teach them. The other two were found separately, one of them was a referral from a neighbor he is really nice and is really open minded. We gave him a Book of Mormon and we are going back this week. The other was another really solid investigator, we will be referring him to the Spanish Elders, he speaks really good English but learning in his native language will make for a better experience. Him and his wife have been taught before but now that he is retired he has more time for the lessons.

So we have been slowly growing our teaching pool. But after we taught those last two me and Elder Phister had an appointment with Keith again. We were on our way to remind him about church. We never ended up making it to the appointment, I wrecked my bike trying to go around a car that had pulled into the crosswalk and get back on the sidewalk. I was going too fast and crashed my bike. I split my chin open we had to go to the emergency room, I got four stitches, my arm got hit really hard too and has swelled up super bad. This all happened the day before mothers day, of all the days.

Mothers day was really great I loved it. Me and Elder Phister were in primary and it was so much fun. All the kids are fun to sing and play around with. I forgot how much fun primary is. I really am so grateful for and have lots of respect for all that mothers do for us every day they are so loving and that instinct that they have for everyone is a real thing. After church we went to a members house to call home and have dinner. Sister Fardig insisted on taking care of my wounds and reapplying bandages.
We had waffles and I talked to my family for about an hour. My mom was happy I was safe and not too badly hurt and knows I am well taken care of.
We found one more potential after our dinner too. His nickname is Ash I can't remember what his full name is, but he is from Egypt, speaks Arabic and English. I am excited to teach him his accent is really awesome. And it would be amazing to get another investigator.

I love and miss all of you guys family and friends you're all such cool people and I love you all. I am so grateful for you all that I met in the MTC and all my other family and friends. I am also happy I got to call home yesterday.

I have some pictures that I can send you all, I haven't really sent any pictures I realized so sorry about that. I am not very good at taking pictures, my phone camera is trash and the camera I brought is having problems.
Until next week, hopefully I can survive long enough to make it till then, Elder Saville gave me six months to live. He is right though it has only been three weeks in the field and I have already had to go to the E.R. Wish me luck I am going to need it.
