Emergency Transfer to Star! Week 10

This week has been interesting to say the least. My companion has been struggling ever since I got here. He hasn't been the easiest to work with and didn't want to do what we needed to be doing. Because of all this, I've been in daily contact with President Sorensen to give reports of what we have done (more often than not, what we have not done). On Thursday, Elder Dunham called President Sorensen and told him he wanted to go home and he had a flight home on Saturday morning. So its been a weird week. On Saturday morning, I got transferred to Star and am companions with Elder McCain! He was my District Leader in my first transfer and he is an awesome guy. He is from Dallas Texas, but he doesn't like the Cowboys so I let it slide. We both wanted to be companions with each other and we joked about it happening soon, but it worked! We get along really well and are excited for the next two weeks until transfers happen. We have some really good work to do here and we are ready to get some work done!
It was tough leaving Middleton. I was able to say goodbye to a few people, as I found out Friday morning that I was being transferred the next morning. That meant I had to pack up all my stuff which is not what I like haha. Most importantly, I was able to say goodbye to Nicole and get a picture with her and her son Juan. She was sad that I was leaving and I told her when she gets baptized at the end of the month that I will be there and she was happy. I'll send some pictures soon that I got this week. I'm the worst with pictures but I will get better when I am out in the Philippines. Idaho isn't too picture worthy haha.
Highlight of the week! So, a couple weeks ago we blitzed the sisters area (our whole district knocked on doors in their area). We ran into this really cool less active guy named Scott and he is amazing. He wanted to take us out to dinner eventually and that happened on Saturday. So he took me and my companion as well as the Elders we used to live with out to Texas Roadhouse and provided us with a FEAST. It was so legit and amazing. THEN, on the way home he MADE us get groceries that he could buy for us. And everytime he saw our cart he made us get more stuff haha. He bought us and the other Elders a total of 100$ of groceries. He is a less active that LOVES Elders, it was a tender mercy of the Lord for sure. That was a lit day.
The work over here in Star is pretty good and we have people that are interested that we are teaching. I am still figuring out everything because I just got here. Next week I will be able to inform you all more of the awesome people out here. I cover 3 wards out here, so its not too bad. President Sorensen told me yesterday that he would call about my visa next week so we will see what happens. Love you all and talk to you next week! Email me about all of the awesome things going on with you all!!!
