Haha so we went golfing this morning with one of our investigators, Kenny, and it was super fun! We played 9 holes in the morning and it was nice to get back into the "swing" of things. Man, I'm still as punny as I remember! But this week was pretty busy, we had transfers on Tuesday, so we drove to Hobbs, NM and that's where I said bye to Elder Pawlak. It was a good transfer with him, and I hope he has a fun time in his new area! I got Elder Evans and he is a fireball. He's been out for a little less than a year and he wants to get a ton of missionary work done, so that will help me out a lot this last transfer in the field! He came from an area that had nothing going on it, so he's stoked to be here in Carlsbad where we actually have a lot of work.
We've been able to meet with Kenny as well and he has come to church three Sundays in a row which is awesome! He stayed for all 3 hours and it's been pretty sweet to see him there. We need to talk to our mission president and figure some stuff out with Kenny cause he's on parole right now.
We went and visited a part member family to see how they were doing and we shared a little Mormon message with them and as we were walking out to the car the dad (the nonmember) came out and started talking about how much the church has impacted him and how his family has been getting him involved. Well, he mentioned to us that he wants a brush up on the lessons and wants to get baptized! So we're meeting with him tomorrow and we're going to set a baptismal date with him! Hopefully I'll be here for it!
But we got a good week ahead of us and I'm stoked to see how it goes! Hope y'all have a great week and I love ya!
