2016 Christmas Week

Man this week went by so fast! So there wasn't too much that happened this week, but it was still pretty eventful!

So we had District meeting at night this week which was super weird but it was the only time that would work for the other missionaries in my district so that was when we had it, but it went really well!

We were able to get in contact with some of the referrals in the area and set up appointments with them, but the day of they all fell through, so that was a bummer. But we were able to meet with a less active member who is interested in getting back into the church and he took us out to Fuddruckers for lunch and we were able to have a good chat with him!

On Christmas Eve we met up with a ton of missionaries and we played basketball for a couple of hours and it was super fun! We brought treats and snacks and stuff and it was a good time with all of them!

Christmas day was pretty fun! I got to Skype the fam and it was a blast to see everyone! A family had us over for dinner and then we met up with a couple of missionaries and hung out with them! The vehicle coordinator, Elder Cayton, and his wife had us over Christmas night and we played Settlers of Catan with them (I'm still trash at that game haha) but overall it was a pretty good Christmas! It's weird to think that it's my last one as a missionary, but I know that the Lord will still always provide for us.

I'm grateful for this Christmas Season and for the ability to see the blessing that the Lord gives to my family and I each and every day. It's a cliché thing to say but I mean it with everything that I have. I couldn't ask for more, yet the Savior continues to give me more. I couldn't imagine being happier yet; the Lord puts things in my life that make it more enjoyable each and every day. You just gotta look for them. I hope that all y'all are able to recognize those as well. It took me a long time to figure it out, but I know that y'all will be able to get it faster than me haha. Love you all and hope you have a Happy New Year!
