Abilene, Texas

Elder Duvall

Transfer Week

Sad news, I'm getting transferred!!!: (I’m going to Lubbock with an Elder Despain and we're whitewashing into a bike area! It's going to be great! Going back to leg day everyday! But this last week in Abilene was full of work! Gonna miss Elder Duvall, his spirit & love open hearts.

Elder Duvall and I hit the streets hard, teaching and talking to everyone that we could and we got 5 new investigators this week! That hasn't happened here for a very long time! As we were tracting we found the Mystery Machine! Childhood dreams really do come true!

We were able to see Josh again and he was sad/mad that I was leaving, but we had a great lesson with him and reset expectations and a baptismal date for November 19th! Hopefully he pulls through and commits to it! We started teaching our maintenance guy, Shawn, and he had us over on Sunday for a sweet redneck BBQ! We were able to teach one of his friends David, about the Restoration and he wants to learn more so they're going over on Thursday to teach him again!

Last prep day we went to a boat factory where they make a bunch of wakeboard boats! It was sweet! No one really appreciated it as much as I did, but that's because I'm the only one that knows how much fun those things are!

We play pickle ball with the senior missionaries, The Despains, and their friends and we finally snagged a picture with them! It was super fun! This is also a picture of my district and it was so great to be able to serve around all of them!

Man I'm so stoked to be able to serve in Lubbock. It's going to be really strange serving in that large of a town but I know that the Lord is going to provide for us as we labor diligently and obediently! Hope ya'll have a great week! Glad that you guys stomped Gilbert in homecoming! That's always good to hear! Love ya'll
