Elder Duvall

Fast ole Week

This week went by really fast and time is just flying by! Not too much happened this week. Elder Duvall and I are still going strong till the end of this transfer (which is this Saturday)!!! He's a rockstar.

Sad story: Josh punched two of our appointments and didn't come to church so we have to push back his baptismal date:( But it's all-good, we're going to keep working with him and prepare him for that day!

We met this awesome guy on the street the other day and he was so stoked to be talking to us! We told him we would love to meet with him and talk and he was so excited to! He's only been in Abilene for about a week and we went by a couple days later and we were able to teach him the Plan of Salvation! He is super cool and he's a barber! When we went to visit him he was cutting a friend's hair and he was using a straight edge razor to edge his hair! It was sweet! He said that if we need a trim he would hook us up haha!

I got to go on exchanges with Elder Hiner and it was a blast! It didn't feel like an exchange because we have already been companions, but it was awesome to get to work with him again!

There wasn't anything to crazy that happened this week though! I was reading in D&C 6 the other day and it was cool to read about the gifts that Oliver was blessed with, but were then taken away because he didn't use them properly. I particularly like verse 10 when it says, " Behold thou hast a gift, and blessed art thou because of thy gift. Remember it is sacred and cometh from above." We have all been blessed in this life with wonderful gifts from our Heavenly Father. The only tricky part is finding out what they are and how we can use it for the benefit of others and ourselves. That's just something to think about:) Love ya'll and I hope ya'll have a great week!
