Elder Duvall

Advil isn't working any longer

So I found out some sad news. I'm not training anymore:( There was a screw up in the church system and about 3 new elders coming out to be trained were actually Spanish speakers. Elder Adams is learning Spanish and they needed Spanish elders to train Spanish missionaries. So I got jipped from that. My new comp is Elder Duvall and he's an interesting fellow. He's been out for 20 months; he's from Tulia, Utah. He worries a lot about random things but is super gung ho on getting missionary work done, He just has different methods of carrying it out. We're working on getting good companion unity, but it's a struggle with his personality and whatnot. I've been pretty stressed to say the least, and Advil doesn't work anymore, It's going to take time to get it down, but I know that the Lord will bless us in our efforts!

This week was crazy, trying to find the other elders a place to stay, they've been rooming with us for the last week, and it’s been a party. We've been knocking a ton, trying to find new people to teach and we actually got a new investigator out of it! His name is Brent and he's a really cool guy! We taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we also gave him a Book of Mormon to read! He has these giant parrots that he showed us and they talked with us and stuff!

The primary kids wrote thank you letters to the missionaries and there's one kid that remembers me and he wrote me a thank you letter!! It made my day! That's the best way I've seen my last name spelt in the mission so far!

Oh man this should be an interesting transfer! I'll be sure to get more pics hopefully! Love ya'll, stay true to the faith! We are all enlisted till the conflict is over!
