Alrighty everyone this was a good week! So we got quite a bit of work done this week, which I was super, grateful for! We got to meet investigators, do service and get a few referrals!
We went bowling as a zone and with some YSA and it was super fun!
Elder Hiner fell over in his chair, but it didn't bug him very much haha
So Elder Hiner and I were out knocking and we met this super nice old lady named Nancy. She is a devout Baptist, but said that her son had met with missionaries before and she really loved what they did for him! We asked her if she would want us to go and visit him again and she said yes! Gave us his name and phone number! She said that she would rather have us go and see him rather than the people that go to the Church of Christ haha. We'll take it!
We also met this guy named Kenny that lived by missionaries in the past. He really loves what we do and he gave us some water and snacks. We got to talking and he said that he grew up Southern Baptist and that he wasn't planning on changing. We still really appreciated his kindness towards us.
We also met up with Nathan! He's a super cool kid that we've been teaching for a while and I finally took a picture with him!
We also got to meet up with one of our old investigators, Arnold, and we had an awesome lesson with him! We committed him and his dad to be baptized on October 14th! We're so stoked! He is also going to come and play basketball with us so we hope that goes well!
I'm grateful that the Lord has been able to bless us this week as we go into the last week of this transfer. I've been reflecting on quote by President Monson. "Wonderful, glorious things are in store for you, if only you will believe, obey and endure." As we keep pressing forward with an eye of faith, doing what we know is right, the Lord will bless and help us accomplish whatever is in our way. I know this with all of the surety of my heart. I have felt it and have experienced it in my life. I love you all and hope you all have a great week!
