Amarillo Texas

Elder Pulsipher

Everyone needs the gospel in their lives, obviously.

Wow this week went long and it also crazy short! It doesn't even feel like I've been in Amarillo for 4 weeks! It's nuts!

So this weekend we got to go to the temple and it was so nice! It’s been about a month and a half since I've gone and it was so nice to be able to go there and feel the spirit! I ran into Elder Kay at the temple and it was great to see him!

We had a cool experience where a member said that she was hearing things in her house and she couldn't sleep so we went over to her house with a member and blessed her and the house and casted out demons from her house. So check that off the bucket list!

We are working with a part member, Brother Zamaprippa and he super cool. He goes to church, reads the Book of Mormon, and he likes to read from the teachings of the prophets! He’s basically a member haha, but he doesn't like setting dates for things. So we started teaching him the lessons again and we're going to extend the baptismal commitment each time we visit him!

We got to go on exchanges this week with our Zone Leaders, so that was fun! Elder Holtman is my new Zone Leader, so it was great to see him there! That's crazy that we came out together and we're coming up on our year mark soon!

I have come to the conclusion that everyone needs the gospel in their lives, obviously. But some need it more than others, especially if you are a Cowboys fan. If you are a member and you like the Cowboys, that's ok...that's why we have the Atonement lol.

But in all seriousness, there are a lot of people that are so blind to truth that it's sad. They hide behind their wall of pride and they refuse to climb over it. It's super frustrating when we're trying to talk to people, but they don't want to accept anything that they aren't comfortable with. But that's why we're missionaries. We need to meet them at the top of that wall and help them climb over it. I know that as we continue to be persistent as missionaries, the Holy Ghost will prompt them to hear us out, and let us share the beautiful message that we have for them! Love you all; remember that this church is true! Without a doubt! I wouldn't be on a mission if I didn't know that this was true! Keep being awesome!
