We had a re-trainers meeting (which is a meeting for all of the trainers and their trainees) in that meeting President Keung reminded us of a woman's worth. he shared this simple scripture with us that really outlined it for all of us. Proverbs 31:10 ¶ Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
After hearing that it kinda hit me at how much worth my sisters, friends, and Momma have. The world tries to tear them down in every way imaginable. But they are Daughters of God. Princesses in His Kingdom, and they should be treated as such.
After re-trainers we did our studies and tracted for a while then we went to dinner as a district. While we were there this big o'l buff dude walked up and made a noise to get our attention and slapped a hundred dollar bill on the table and just said "I appreciate you guys. Dinners on me" we all just stood there kinda speechless because that was so awesome.
Today was the best day I have had so far. I woke up and got ready for the day. I did my studies in the morning. When we left the house we tracted and every door was slammed in our face. We had DCM (District council meeting) then we went to lunch. At lunch we got a call from the APs (Assistants to the president) telling us that Elder Darrington was going to be DL (District leader) in this next transfer. I'm pretty excited because of the opportunities that will give me to learn how to be DL and go on exchanges with the ZLs(Zone leaders). After lunch we did more studies then went tracting and checking potentials. All with the same end as earlier in the day. On the very last door we knocked on was a Asian guy who was very interested in the gospel and wants to come to church on Sunday. After that we went to our dinner appointment with the Hamons and Jarod and Sapphire. We helped cook dinner and I grilled the chicken so that was fun. After dinner we taught Jarod and Sapphire the Restoration lesson. Jarod really opened up to is about his life and we were able to tie a lot of it as God looking out for him. When we showed him the video of the First Vision, he just kinda sat in like a shocked silence. The Spirit was soo strong in the room. We talked about how we got the Book of Mormon and I bore testimony of its truthfulness and challenged him to read and he was so excited to get his hands on it. It was like a kid in a candy store.
