A nice stake dinner and a temple trip, and another week has passed here in El Pinar!
Farewell: This week, I had the opportunity to attend a temple session with President along with a really nice steak dinner afterwards. It felt like I had another P-day!!
Last Full Week: I hate putting this in my email but it's crazy that I am now entering the last full week of my mission, but at the same time I can't hide from the truth. I know that my time is almost up here in Perú, but I am never going to stop serving the Lord.
What Have You Against It?: This week, we had a lesson with one of our friends where we invited him to be baptized and tried to set a date. He told us that he didn't feel ready yet. I told him that I understood how he felt and opened up the Book of Mormon to Mosiah 18:8-10. Verse 10 states "what have you against being baptized...?" I asked him what was holding him back from taking this next important step. He sat there for a second and confessed: "nothing". He accepted the date for this coming Sunday, and he will be the last baptism on my mission here in Perú. I think that sometimes we think that taking the next step is too daunting or difficult and we just put off thinking about it or think we can't do it before we've even started. Sometimes we have to take a second and realize that the only thing holding us back is ourselves, and trust in Christ that this is His plan for us and take that next step.
