Final interview done and last trip outside the mission and another week has finished in El Pinar!
Final Interview: Well, I had my final interview this week and I learned a lot about life after the mission. I learned that it's basically just following Jesus Christ and repenting each day, just in a more complex format.
Bikes and Burger King: We had a great time riding bikes and eating Burger King near Costa Verde. It took a while to get there, but we still had a good time.
All For Him: In this experience of finishing my mission, I have learned a lot. For basically all of my mission, I have been motivated to change as many people as possible through the atoning power of Jesus Christ, including myself. This is a very good desire and I have seen many fruits, but as I have been finishing, my desire has completely changed. I realized that the mission is my offering to God. If the people change, that's great! Those are the fruits of my labors and the power I have received from God. However, the point is HOW I help them to change. Am I "anxiously engaged" or just doing what's necessary to baptize? Am I following the standards or just following them when other people see me? I know that in my mission I have changed a lot, and that my desires keep changing and changing, and we are not perfect people. I know that I have done all I could. However, there is always something we can start to do now - even until the end.
