Week 99 Missionary Email
Hello everyone!!!!
Another Cuban boxer baptized and we just finished another week here in El Pinar!!
Armando!!!: He's Cuban and he's a boxer and he speaks English. He's Armando, and he's of the newest converts in the restored church of Jesus Christ. I honestly kind of can't believe he made it, as he is currently getting extorted, but God made a way for it to happen.
Free Donuts: Shout out to that member who stopped us in the street to give us a box of 6 Dunkin Donuts. God will bless you
The Thing of Most Value: So there's this activity in Preach My Gospel called the Christlike Attribute activity. The idea is that it gives specific statements that outline somebody who has a specific Christlike attribute, and you are supposed to rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5. I hadn't done this activity in a second, and I decided to do it during one of my personal studies this week. I completed it and looked at my scores from when I started my mission. I was shocked. I had honestly improved in every attribute! Obviously there are still things that we can all work on, but I realized how far I had come, and I didn't even know! I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes we get so caught up in trying to baptize converts and build the faith of our friends that we forget the real purpose of why we are here. I think that as we give our worldly desires and our whole selves to Jesus Christ, we can be able to see that personal change, and that is honestly the most satisfying type of change that we can ever recieve or see.
