Well, my week consisted of a Stake Correlation Meeting, an exchange with the APs, zone conference, and 4 baptisms. Let's just say I'm happy I made it to P-day.
Swimming: I have already baptized more people in this area than I have baptized in any of my other areas - and I haven't even finished my first transfer here. We should be baptizing 3 more this next week, so it's not even over yet.
4th Trip to the Zoo: Today, we once again went to the zoo. However, it was pretty fun today because the animals were more active than normal and we got to go kayaking for a little bit.
Working How It Should: I love this area right now, and I have been thinking a lot about why we are having so much success here. I have worked really hard all my mission, and the same things that I tried in my last areas are seeing a lot more fruits than in this area than any of my other areas. I have realized that we are having so much more success because of the Ward. In basically all of my other wards, the missionaries basically just work alone, while the ward leadership fights for their lives, just trying not to fall apart. Most of the baptisms the missionaries get in those areas are from knocking doors all day or finding a family member of an inactive family (missionary efforts). In this area, the ward is not only well-structured, but THEY are missionaries as well. THEY bring you people to teach and baptize, and any effort that you make they support and make double as effective, because they literally live here. It really is beautiful to see what happens when a hard-working, capable ward and missionaries that are trying their best get put together. It has truly grown my testimony to see how well things can work and how beautiful the church is when people with strong testimonies get together to share the light of Christ.
