Week 78 Missionary Email
Hello everyone!!
Another hot week in Lima, and we're now in March.
Temple Trip: We had the opportunity to take a convert to the temple, and this time it was with the ward! It was still pretty long, but it was a super fun time to spend with the ward and bring someone to the temple for the first time in their lives.
Anthony's baptism: We had a miracle baptism this week for Anthony. He's a 20-year-old who lives in the highest hill, and he sent in a referral that he wanted to get closer to God. We helped him to get to church and then to the Tabernacle Choir concert and he was very impressed. However, he was leaving for Huancayo (other city in Perú) this Sunday, so we got permission from the ZLs to baptize and confirm him the day he left. It went pretty well, and he mentioned that he felt like he was starting "a new life".
Transfers: So, they took out a companionship of missionaries from our ward, and now our area is getting bigger🎉🎉 I'm still with Élder Becerra, and we're working really hard.
Just Do It: Back in my other area, I saw someone come to church that I hadn't seen before, so I went up and talked to him. He said it was his first time at church, so I was pretty excited. However, he said that he lived in another ward's boundaries. So, I went ahead and sent it over to the other missionaries, a little sad because it didn't really help us a lot. Then, this week I go on exchange with the ZLs in their area. We show up to a convert lesson, and I see this same guy. Turns out, shortly after he was baptized and given a calling, and has been to the temple. You never know what happens when you give someone a chance.
