Wow!! A once-in-a-lifetime experience this week with the Tabernacle Choir concert!!
The Concert Experience: So, as missionaries, we had the opportunity to bring 2 of our friends to the concert!! They were super excited and had a great time! We boarded the ward bus at 2pm to get to the stadium at 3:30pm. When we got there, there was a BUNCH of members, and we waited outside for a solid hour and a half to get in. Once we got in, we waited another hour and a half and the concert started. We got to know cultures from all over South America, and it was super cool. My favorite part was the Tabernacle Choir (hearing the songs that I listen to every morning) and:
"I am a Child of God": I loved the part where the famous latino singer had everyone take out their phone lights and sing "I am a Child of God" together in Spanish. This experience really made me realize how much love Heavenly Father has for each and every one of us. There were 40,000 people in this stadium, and everyone of these lights represented a child of God. For just a quick moment, I could see and understand the love that God has for us, and also understand how many more people that I see each day that don't have this sacred, important knowledge. And I, just for a moment, understood that I needed to share it.
