Week 50 Missionary Email

Hello everyone!!
Another week of hard work in Famesa and we're looking forward to a baptism this week!!
Ok, It Was Dark: Saturday night, we had an activity in the stake center, and we had to run to a minivan to track it down so we could get to the church. We were jogging in the dark, and a rock came out of nowhere and I tripped and fell and even took a couple of barrell rolls!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ The people watching gasped and then when I got up started laughing while I brushed the dust off my pants!πŸ˜‚ They were patting my back and I was getting into the van like I was a superstar
Like I'm in San Juan: As our area just split this transfer, we've been in dire need of more people to teach. So, I've decided to go crazy with giving out Jesus cards again, which is kind of fun. We almost never find anyone doing it out in public, but at least it puts us in that San Juan mindset. It's worked, as we found a bunch of people this week!!
My Dad's Awesome Guys: Shoutout to my Dad for somehow comparing the children's story of Little Red Riding Hood to multiple Gospel principles. I don't know how he does it (every time), but he's really got something going there!
From Catholic to Convert: This week, we hope to baptize Xiomara, a Young Single Adult that's 20 years old. She was a referral from YouTube that used to be a devout Catholic. When we first visited her, she was so Catholic that I did not even think it was worth teaching her. However, we just kept going and doing our best to help her understand the lessons. Eventually, she decided to pick up the Book of Mormon and started to read it out of pure curiosity. She then sent us a voice message telling us that she felt really good when she read it, and that she wanted to get baptized in our church. Yesterday, she showed up to her baptismal interview 15 minutes early, shaking. She said that she stopped working on Sunday mornings so that she could attend church, even bringing along her younger brother!! This experience shows me that it's possible for any person to make it to the waters of baptism, you just have to be patient and listen to the Spirit.

1. Streets of Famesa at sunset - not as pretty as the real Mesa, but still pretty solid
