Good day mates,
This week I dropped my first hit single, "Quiero Mas Dinero" with my comp. So if yall wanna see our lit album cover, check that out below. Also look extra hard for a hidden spiritual message. (Hint: it may or may not be the plan of salvation)
Anywho, this week was mega lit and spanish is just chuggin along per usual. Earlier this week, we street contacted this old couple in the park, and turns out the husband is actually a member who hasn't been to church in a very long time. He was actually wearing a CTR ring which definitely caught us off guard. So we talked to them for a minute, and that definitely must have sparked something in him, because the very next day, we were back in the park, and we found him on a bench just reading the Book of Mormon and bro was in alma 37 so that was crazy. BUT, it gets cooler. On Sunday, HOMIE PULLED UP TO CHURCH. He may have slept through a couple testimonies, but it was so cool to see the people the Lord puts into our paths.
As you guys should know, yesterday was fast Sunday and those are not taken lightly on the mish. Especially for us since we're absolute weapons of the Lord and willing to die for the work. But, we started fasting the day before around 3, and had a dinner appointment on Sunday at 5 where we were planning to eat. But, when we showed up to the members house, she didn't make any food. This almost made me crumble and die but luckily, she pulled a cheesecake out of the fridge and gave each of us a little slice. Then, immediately following that appointment, we had to deliver a spiritual thought at a young adults activity. And just following THAT, a kind Slovakian woman asked us to administer the sacrament for her mother. Luckily she gave us a banana and a pear tho so that was mega chill of her. So, for just around 31 hours, my body was running on some cheesecake and some fruit so that was awesome. Hopefully some mega blessings heading our way cause if that isn't sacrifice idk what is.
Other random garbage:-President Eastland sang Firework by Katy perry and then bellyflopped into the pool in a full suit cause we hit all our goals. -A very kind old member took us to the church after a lesson, and on the way there, he clicked the voice button in the car and said, "Play the Weeknd" in the most old man spanish accent cause somehow he knew who the weeknd was and fugured that since we're Americans, we listen to him. So, we jammed for like 20 minutes in this dudes car to the weeknd. -Played like 4 hours of voleibol this week somehow so that was way fun.-Got blessed by this dude in one of those park sermons where the dude is just yelling into a mic so that was a very spiritual experience for me.-We watched the Superbowl highlights at an American restaurant and I got to watch the Philly special again.-We took a 12 year old girl home and it took like an hour, and all the while, we were getting weird looks. So I guess it's good the police didn't get involved again.
Spiritual Thought: Somebody made a cool connection this week between becoming more Christlike, and digging tracks through a mountain. You can be working as hard as you possibly can and doing everything in your power to get through the mountain, but if you aren't going the right way, or are veered off course, your efforts are wasted and you may not even reach your destination. This is the same in our lives as we are striving to become better disciples of Christ. We need to have our goals in mind and know what direction we want to be headed, or else we'll never get the results we're looking for.
Hope y'all have a killer week. Also if you feel so inclined, go read Alma 29. Bro went crazy on that one. See ya.
