Hola Hello Hi what's going on everyone!
I hit my halfway point of the MTC on Wednesday which is wild because it feels like time is absolutely flying by, but at the same time, I feel like I've been here for 25 years. The days are all kinda meshing together because we do the same thing every day but it's cool because we're learning a lot and all of our Spanish is really improving. We are no longer allowed to speak English in any of our classes so it's kinda forced, but I can see that we're all getting better, even if we're just speaking in Mexican slang (which will benefit none of us).
One of the most exciting parts of this week was probably the field trip to UVU with all the missionaries heading to Spain and picking up our Visas. There are 22 of us in total, and a few flew in from home MTC or from their temporary assignments so it was really cool to meet everyone. They kinda just piled us on a UTA bus and sent us away but it's chill cause we all got to leave the MTC. Then after we all had our passports back, we took like a billion pictures flexing our Visas to all the missionaries back at the MTC so that was kinda funny.
Some other highlights from this week that I'll briefly mention: The entire Quorum of the 12 is here along with all the new mission presidents so a ton of people have been seeing them around the MTC over the last few days. Elder Dye and I got called as the zone leaders over our branch so now we have power over everyone so please pray for me that the power doesn't get to my head lol. I buzzed my head on Wednesday so shoutout to my barber (Elder Davis) cause it looks fresh. We got the bathroom barbershop setup and so far I think around 7 elders have buzzed their heads.
Spiritual Thought: While I was in the celestial room, I was praying to know how I could better help people and how I could be the best missionary that I could be. I didn't get an answer when I prayed and I was even searching the scriptures, but I never got the answer that I was looking for. But when I looked up from the scriptures, a little discouraged, I noticed a mirror that was sitting across from me and in the reflection of the mirror, I saw a painting of the Savior with his arms outstretched. It hit me right then that he is always the answer. Being Christlike and just showing love to all the people in our lives is the simplest and most effective way that we can be like him and be the best versions of ourselves.
Anyways, that's all for this week, sorry it's a little long. But I hope you all have a great week and please email me because I love hearing from all of you!
