This week has been a pretty good one. As I mentioned in my last email, transfers were coming up. Well they have since happened and I have two new companions. I am still serving in the Laramie area and the same wards as well. But my new companions are Elder Jensen and Elder Johnson. Elder Johnson is a new missionary and is waiting for his visa to go to Fiji! He’s pretty excited. We had lots of success this past week! We found a lot of people tracting. We found a less active who hadn’t been to church in quite a few years. We didn’t even have his records, but it was really neat to talk with him! Hopefully we can help him come back to church. One of the recent converts we are working with, has her step daughter in town and she is going to start taking the discussions which is awesome! We also went to contact a couple potential investigators and a lady came out and introduced herself as Billy K! And no that’s not a typo. That’s what her name was. She asked us for a Book of Mormon, and then told us she had been wanting to get baptized for about 10 years now so hopefully we can help her do that! Lots of little miracles this last week! Ian is still doing great and progressing. Oh I also got to hold an original 1830 Book or Mormon! It was such a neat experience! I’ll send a picture of that!
I know I’ve talked about this before, but this week I really feel like Prayer has played a big role for me. I think often we underestimate the power of prayer, or take it for granted, but I can’t express enough the importance of having a relationship with your Heavenly Father. He is there for you and will listen to you if you go to him sincerely. If you don’t currently, I would really encourage you to start praying and trying to create that relationship! It will bring you so much peace and comfort in times of trial and need. He wants to hear from you! I love you all so much!
