Subject: Hello from Grandma.

Hi Elder Oldham:  Actually Hi Honey. Cause I love you tons.  I was glad to hear that you made it safe and sound to Russia.  Wow that sounds so far away. Your Mom and Dad said your P day is on Monday now so Ill remember that and try and get a Email off to you so you can have it by then.  From what they  told me It sounded like you were so excited to go when you talked to your family and that made it easier for them I am sure.  I know that you will be a great Missionary and represent the Church and your family to the best of your ability.

I guess you were pretty tired when you finally got to your destination?  That is a long flight.   When I went to pick up your Dad in Taiwan we were in flight for 24 hours and stopped at 5 different airports before we reached Taiwan. Didn't get to sleep much and the food was really different on the plane.  That was the first time Debbie had ever flown in an airplane so it was exciting and scary for her.

Andrea and family has been here for a few days and we are keeping busy.  We went to a trampoline park today and the manager was a returned missionary.  He had been in Canada on his mission and he loved every minute of it.  said the Temp. there sometimes got down to 40 below. He has been home a little over a year.   I hope your winters are not that cold.

Skylar and I watched the Saratov  Approach last night and I was looking at the city itself with more intent this time.  It looks like a pretty big place.  At least what We saw on the movie in some of the scenes.  The girl from our ward that is also in Russia  is Sister Tia Misuraca. she is in the mission next to yours I think.  She has sent word home that she is loving it. I think she has been out about 5 months or so. Dont know if your ever going to run in to her but if you do tell her Hi for me.  She probably does not know me to well but just tell her she is in your Grandmas ward.

The weather here in AZ has been in the 80's which is a little high for this time of year but we will take it.  Its been beautiful here.  Jacket at night however.  Were wimps here you know.

Well take care honey and I will drop you an E mail again soon.  Keep us posted on your adventure over there..Were all so interested in how and what you are doing.  Take care and Gods speed honey.

Love you

Grandma O.
