Well, week 2 went by in a flash. I am 2% done with my missionūüėā. Even though it may not sound like a lot, I have been working hard and have learned so much. Sitting on Zoom still kind of stinks but if that's¬†what it takes to get to help people in Guatemala, that's what I want to do. Nothing too exciting happened this week. My companion and I had to teach a lesson in full spanish for 10-12 minutes and WOW was that rough. We just talked about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. The¬†person we taught said it was one of the best lessons she has heard! So I guess we can thank the Spirit for holding up the slack on that one. Especially¬†because we only had 10 minutes to prepare for it. Anyways, week 3 is already half way over and I am almost halfway done with HMTC. 4 People in my district have been reassigned to places¬†in the United States. Most of them have calls to South America, so hopefully Guatemala stays open!¬† ¬† ¬†Jodi brought me a Tropical Smoothie and left it on the¬†front porch for me last week. I didn't know she¬†was¬†coming and when I went downstairs I found a note on the¬†counter in my dad's handwriting that said, Look in the freezer. That made my whole day! Home MTC is definitely¬†challenging for the fact that, everyone I know and used to be with all the time is still only 15 minutes away and I have to act like I'm 50,000¬†miles away.¬†¬† ¬† ¬†Cutler got his Permit last week and now he is driving. AHHHHH!! It's kinda scary, but I was probably the same way! Mason's birthday was on Monday and he turned 8. He is getting baptized on Saturday, and I get to baptize him! I am so excited about that. Some crazy dude tried to burn down our stake center this week, so now we have to do it in a different¬†stake center. Luckily the fire department put the fire out before it spread throughout the whole church, but the Chapel is not going to be able to be used for a while!! On monday when my family came over for Mason's birthday, my grandpa miller showed up early. On the way over he said his "check tire pressure" light came on. So when he got to my house he looked and it had a big ol screw in it. I threw on some shoes and helped him change it to the spare. It felt like we changed it faster than the tire shop could have.ūüė鬆Last night, me and my Dad got out of the house and went and looked for deer. It was so nice to finally get some fresh air and enjoy the Southern Utah mountains while I still can. Last year today is when I shot my archery buck.¬†It was a little sad that I couldn't be hunting but I have a better work to do right now, so I'll save the hunting for in a few years.¬†ūüėȬ†This morning I got some professional P-Day golf lessons from Papa Kent. We went and hit a bucket of balls on the range.¬†ūüŹĆ
I wanted to share one of my favorite scriptures from this last week. I know answers come in small and simple means. And I know in my life my answers come when I feel peace thinking about what I want an answer to. In these verses I like to substitute the word witness with the word "Proof".D&C 6:23-2423 Did I not speak peace to your mind concerning the matter? What greater witness can you have then from God. 24 And now, behold, you have received a witness; for if I have told you things which no man knoweth have you not recieved a witness?
