How are you? How was your week? How is your journal writing going? Tell me all about how you are doing? We could us so sweet, inspirational and uplifting experiences this week.
I’m writing this email this morning because it’s been a very emotional and difficult week. Not to worry, all of our family is fine.
But we’ve had our hands full this week helping the girls process the death of a friend. Dylan particularly is having a hard time accepting that she will not have this friend here to make her laugh or smile. She had a special relationship with this friend. I was up until almost 1 cuddling her and letting her cry. She has cried herself to sleep every night since we found out about his death. The bishop came over last night to try to help dylan as he could see how she was struggling so hard with this.
Joey is either handling it better or it hasn’t hit her yet. She has been experiencing more discomfort inside which is usually the beginnings of a panic attack but it seems to be on a slow burn and rumbling over the days.
The girls and I all cried ourselves to sleep on Wednesday night after we found out about this and much of the ward is in shock.
I’m sure you are wondering why I haven’t said who this person was and the reason I haven’t given you his name is because I would like to tell you over the phone rather than by email. So if you would call me today that would be best. I know you love this man too and it would be best if I could tell you rather than drop it on you by email.
Other than this shock, everyone in the family is doing well. I got the lifters on my back door fixed this weekend. Happiness is the back doe staying open when you are loading things in the rain.
We leave early on Saturday for Newport Beach. We are all looking forward to the break.
Tell me all about what you are doing and how you are feeling
