This weeks seems like it went by super slow. I don't like pday on Friday but that's going to change next week. Yay!
So you know that Sarah Hagler and I team teach our Primary class. So she a just getting back into the swing of it after the baby being born. So last week was her rue. To teach. I had a feeling to text her and make sure she was planning on teaching. She text back sId she was but that the kids had been sick and she hadn't been sleeping because the baby was up all night. I told her not to worry about id take care of it. She was super grateful and apologetic. But I told her Ive been there no apologies needed. Then I knew I needed to take them dinner. I was going go just grab the chicken Alfredo at Costco but them decided to grab a chicken and make my Mac and cheese instead and a loaf of bread. I wanted to take it over about 4 but the day got away from me so about 5 I let her know I was bringing dinner. She text back a thank you and them told me she was trying to put herself together to go grocery shopping because they had no food. I am so grateful for the promptings of the spirit and that I can be an instrument in the lords hands.
Sunday my lesson was about The Saints building up winter quarters. I didn't realize what a feat it was and all that the Saints did to prepare with your quarters for those who would come after them. Brigham Young had saints who first arrived plant crops and build houses in school at school and everyone did their part and they built a large fence around winter quarters to protect them from the Indians who might harm them. They actually spoke with the local Indians before choosing a spot for winter quarters to get their permission to stay there since it was their land. Later on some of the Indians were attacked by another try and the Saints took the local Indians in who were injured and nursed him back to health until their people could come and get them. They worked very hard to make winter quarters a place of safety and to take care of each other for a short period of time and then winter quarters was vacant after it being used for only about about a year. They even talk to story about a man whose wife passed away but his five children traveled with him across Iowa but as he received her mission call and some men were asked to fight in the Mexican war unless their families as per the request of the government. The man who went on a mission his children had to work and take care of their house and each other and the Saints helped so that he could serve a mission. The Saints in the mormon Battalion left wives and children and those men who are left behind help take care of them as well. It was a story about a man and his wife who gave the last flower they had in their home to a woman who had no money and no food for her family but giving the last of their flower with then leave this family with no food. That same day a man came to their home and gave them $50 and told them that there was a wagon coming that would arrive that day full of flour. It's wonderful to know that the Lord looks out for each of us and knows our needs and provides for them if we do it he asks.
Dylan is learning how to play the guitar and loving it. Joey had a musical theater performance that she had to memorize and she did great. She was so proud of her self. TJ is working hard and so excited about his business.
It's supposed to snow today and cleaned up the leaves in the backyard once but it's covered again and because of daylight savings time in the girls cheer schedule you haven't made the second round yet. So we will have to figure out how to get them cleaned up after it snows in the snow melts.
Quick funny story, this next week is Thanksgiving and we will have our normal Thanksgiving luncheon at work on Tuesday. The office people asked me to make my crockpot turkey roast and I said yes. You know that my boss Blair and Ryan have been opening up some Popeyes restaurants and Blair came to me and said he was going to have Popeyes do their Cajun turkey for our luncheon. Oh my, The uproar in the office was hilarious. Everyone does it upset about a Cajun turkey from Popeyes. Popeyes brings in lunch about once a month and some people don't like it. So I'm still bringing turkey but I asked Blair if he minded just so he wasn't offended. And I don't like Cajun so that's what I told him.
I hope everything is going well I know you've got lots of changes and more changes to come this next week.
