Hello Everyone!
This week was pretty good. We were out doing a lot of interesting things. We wanted to do more service as a zone, so we decided to go around a park and pick up trash. It was interesting and fun. I hope it helped the park is usually pretty dirty we seemed to get quite a lot of trash.
Elder Meek and my comp Elder Marshall was teaching this one guy, Vlad and his wife. His wife had stage 4 cancer and she was at the hospital. Vlad asked us if we could get her a wheelchair and it took a day, but when I called him back the next day to say I got one, he told us she passed away. It was really sad and he seemed super distraught. We tried to see what we could do to help, but they said they will call us after the funeral when they get back in the city. Moments like this are when you realize how important it is to understand that God has a plan and that this isn't the end of seeing our loved ones. It really can put hope into your life and soul and I'm grateful for this in my life.
For Game Night, we had a huge water fight. It was super fun and crazy.
I was called to be the 2nd Counselor in the Branch. It will be interesting. More finances, and stuff! We have been really trying to focus on the members to help them, so I guess this just gives me an added reason to help and support our members. In John 20 Christ asks Peter to "Feed my Sheep" He asks him three times. The sheep of the church are the members and Christ has asked us to feed them and to strengthen them. They are his sheep and his is their Good Shepard, and he has asked us to tend to them as best as we can.
Love,
Elder Francis
