Hey everybody! It was another good and busy week.
So last p-day we went on a hike to a tower where you can see into Bratislava and also into Austria because it is so close. It was a way fun hike, it was just longer and steeper then we were expecting. But the view was totally worth it 100%.
On Tuesday we were able to play some sand volleyball with some members here and they are pretty dang good. It was some good competition. It brings back all the good memories from the MTC. Those were some good times. After we went down to the Dunaj river and it was pretty cool. We can't swim so that's a bummer. I did stick my feet in the water to wash all the sand off. That was nice.
We went out for dinner this week and got some good Peruvian food. It was so good!
We also did some service! We got to shake plum trees for hours. Basically you put a tarp under the tree, then you shake the tree. All the ripe plums fall. You then sort through all the bugs and plums to pick out all the good plums. I learned that there are so many bugs that actually live in trees. It is pretty ridiculous. So ya. We basically sorted through spiders and other types of bugs all day. But they fed us good Slovak food so that made up for it.
Other then that we spent a lot of this week making content and everything. We had 3 new potential lessons set up for this week but all of them fell through so that was a bummer. That's agency though but it's just a part of life I guess.
Zone Conference! It was so good. It was my first ZC as a ZL and so I was able to give a training. I trained on Discipline and Distractions. The main point of the training was that we all get distracted and as we are preparing for the future, we aren't going to have time for distractions so we need to start now on working to overcome our distractions. And the way that we can do that is by being disciplined. One way to become more disciplined is when we know the expectations others have for us as well as expectations we have for ourselves. And so as missionaries we need to know the expectations that the Lord has for us. We then watched a video and I read the scripture Matthew 6:24 where it says that man can only serve one master. My commitment to everyone was to learn more about Christ and the expectations he has for you. Then pray and ask what you can do to be more disciplined in your life. And I also challenge all of you to do that. Because I know that as you do, as you learn more about our Savior and the expectations He has for you, it will be so much easier to get rid of the distractions in our life. We will get to the point where we know Him so well that we only desire to do what He wants. And we will serve only Him!
