Hello Everyone, This week has been great! Starting off with last P-Day, we played soccer I was really happy to play some soccer again it was fun. I have come to find everyone seems to hate Utah Mormons, its kinda funny. I'll then tell them I'm from Utah. They will usually replay and tell me that "I'm not one of the bad ones" or something along those lines. 😋
I've been studying a lot of Jesus Christ teachings, He truly was such a great teacher. He taught simply and powerfully. He also loved everyone. I've been trying to really love the people I teach and talk with.
Had a great lesson with the part member family the Lodges, where we taught them the gospel of Jesus Christ, really excited for there daughter, Destiny, to be baptized in October. We also set a date with another one of our Investigators in November. Sharron, she struggles with a lot of Word of Wisdom problems so we will see what happens, but its been amazing to see her testimony grow as she has learned how to pray. We are going to get her some large print version of the scriptures as well.
Our Ward mission leader gives all the new missionary's Rubik Cubes and teaches us how to relate it to the restoration. So over this week I figured out how to solve it. I'm very proud of myself ha!
Also was able to give out a couple of Books of Mormon to potential investigators, and bear my testimony of it, that was cool.
My big fail of the week was dropping this members cheesy casserole in the church on Friday... (see picture)
Also we went on exchanges this week on Friday and Saturday! That was super fun!
Elder Pettijohn came to my area and Elder Timothy my companion trainer went to his. I had to take on responsibility for those days it was a bit of a challenge, because I am still trying to learn the area and how to be a successful missionary, but it turned out great. Elder Pettijohn is from Alaska and loves to mountain bike, loves dogs, and Starwars so we were really able to relate.
Also here is a picture of my Companion Elder Timothy, He is from Florida, and makes good food and has been a great trainer.
I hope all you guys had a great week, One of my new favorite hymns is "Have I Done Any Good?" I hope we can all do good in the world today, have a good day!- Elder Warnick
