It's Monday, P-day! This week has been kinda like roller-coaster. We did a lot of stuff. We did a bit of tracting this week and got to meet some really interesting people, and meet 4 new potential investigators/ investigators. We talked to a ton of less active members and members who couldn't make it to church.
We are teaching a really nice non-member family, a 13 year old, Madi, who has been going to mutual and church for like a year now and wants to be baptized. We had a date for her baptism in November when her Dad gets back from a military deployment. We were teaching them about the plan of salvation and invited her Mother, Colina, to baptism. She said she wanted to be, so hopefully in November we can have some good baptisms. Cross my fingers.
We were able to meet some other new people, they were kinda crazy and recovering from prison and drugs. They wanted to come to church so we arranged a ride, but they never showed up.
My companion said I wouldn't have to give a talk my first Sunday, so I didn't prepare one. He lied the speaker didn't show up so I was asked to give like a 7 minute talk with no warning, fun. It actually wasn't that terrible of a talk though because I was able to talk about everything I've learned the past few weeks.
Also this Sunday this 19 year old named Chaz showed up to church. I think at first he was just looking for his old girlfriend but we were able to talk with him. He is currently homeless and he hung out with us during church. He ended up staying for both sessions of church for 6 hours. We saw him later that day and we gave him our number.
We meet with a lot of really old and sick people this week, I have given 4 blessings this past week to different people who asked for them. Still getting used to that.
Funny story, we were sharing and meeting with some less active and sick members on Saturday night and all 3 of the homes we visited had Lord of the Rings on there TV's. We basically got to watch the Fellowship, The Hobbit and Return of the King in the background. It was kinda funny how all 3 of them were watching Lord of the Rings that night.
We also ran into my companion's grandma and some strangers paid for us to eat at Denny's.
Everyone we talk with wants to talk politics with us, It's really annoying and funny sometimes.
Finally have my camera on me so pictures!!!!
