I survived 10 days in the MTC!

August 26, 2017

Dear family and friends!

I have survived 10 days in the MTC and Ill be honest with you it's a lot of work! However, I feel humbled, because when I trust in the Lord He will make my burdens light :) I want to be a successful missionary, so I just need to keep working at it and I will have joy in my hardships! To answer your questions my companion doesn't know if he's related, I'm getting along with my companion, the food....... but it never fails to fill me up XD! My district is awesome! We have 10 elders and two sisters. We're all helping each other with learning Spanish.

This week my companion and I taught four lessons to our investigator in Spanish. It was kind of hard to communicate, but we asked for the Spirit our last few lessons and it turned out well! Now the investigator is our teacher and her name is Sister Blau. Because we have practiced, my companion and already have TRCs next week and we will be teaching a real investigator named Alfonso. Pray for us!!!!!!!

We also had a devotional on Tuesday! We have our devotional in the gym now, so I'm not sure what the Marriot Center is like. We heard Weatherford T. Clayton and his wife! He really brought the Spirit in the room as he talked about the importance of missionary work. He also had two convert missionaries in the crowd talk about their conversions! The Elder said some something very profound, " Don't be the missionary you want to be, be the missionary have to be!" That hit home with me, because sometimes I make this mission about myself, but there are people in Panama that need my talents and testimony. The Lord also expects me to be His humble servant throughout my mission. I know I will be blessed if I magnify my calling!

Last Saturday I did a session in the Provo Temple and it was awesome!!! I'm going again today and I can't wait :) I can always feel Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for me when I go! I invite you all to go to the Temple, you'll absolutely love it!

Well that's pretty much it for this week, except for all the wonderful friends from high school I got to see again! It fills me with joy to know that people that graduated with me are serving missions :) Anyway, I love you all and wish you all the best in your lives!

PS- To all my friends, I'm thinking of you and if you'd like to write to me I wouldn't mind! You don't even have to send something long, just tell me how good life is. Or just send me some of your favorite movie quotes haha :)

Look up and memorize Philippians 4:13! I promise it will help you
