Mission Week 87

April 15, 2019

Dear family,
This week was just spectacular! I would love to send pictures of it, but I don`t know if this computer will let me put in my sd card.... However, I`ll just describe it to you all, so no worries there!

We had two baptisms! Ismael and Cornelia are their names. We married them and then baptized them at once! They are an elderly couple and were super excited for their baptism. We were so happy for their decision to get baptized! However, I will say that we had to baptize Ismael like 6 times, because he was just fighting the going under water part. I felt really bad for him, but now he just live in peace :) We had zone conference that same day, too. We talked about improving our planning and always striving to be obedient. It had to do a lot with President Nelson`s talk in inviting us to repent everyday! The Spirit was really strong and really testified of the key purpose I have in being a missionary. The sad part about going to zone conference, though, was the fact that we had to miss the wedding of the couple we were going to baptize. I think they were a little sad that we weren`t there and when we told them that we were leaving the region, they thought we were leaving forever, poor things. Any ways, that all occurred Thursday in case you were wondering.

Saturday was really awesome!! We found so many prepared, positive people! It included a referral from the relief society president. His name is Eduardo and he came to General Conference! When we taught him, he accepted a baptismal date at once for the 27th! We`re really excited for him and I can see progression in him, because he came to church the next day too! I haven`t seen many good references from the members like this man before so we`re excited :) We`re going to baptize as much as we can this transfer! The Lord is preparing His children.

Love,
Elder Sobretodo
