Mission Week 86

April 8, 2019
Dear family and friends,

So at 5 your time will be 7 my time and I will already be working. I guess I won´t call you because I understand that you´re busy; I just thought it would be cool to see how you were doing :) But anyways, I really enjoyed this week, because we had a pretty great turnout at General Conference! I´m excited, because a lot of them were amazed at the messages and the organization of the Church! One of them even said, ¨How can I get baptized?¨That made me feel good, because he really listened to what the messages were saying about making and keeping covenants! His name is Brother Rengerr and he will get baptized, it´s just he needs to get married with his wife. Yeah, most of our investigators that are positive aren´t married, but we´ll overcome it! :) We are going to have two baptisms this week! Ismael and Cornelia are going to get married and in the same day we are going to baptize them! It´s such a cool thing, because they have been progressing towards this for awhile and now here it is! :) All their family is Catholic and they are the grandparents, so our hope is that this will help the family cut tradition and ¨come unto Christ¨. The marriage and baptism will take place on Thursday. Nelson is also someone who we are working with. He is ready, because we finished all the lessons with him and he left coffee. He just kind of wants a little bit more time. However, he came to General Conference on his own, so we are thinking about doing his baptism this week!

Other events that happened this week was me going to Chitre on splits. I was with Elder Garcia; he is cool! I got to meet their investigator Brother Ricardo. Wow! They found him like a week and a half ago and he read all the way to Mosiah in the Book of Mormon and marking it. He also knows that the Church is true and wants to get baptized and later sealed to his wife. I saw him at all 5 sessions with his wife at four of them! I´m excited for them! Then, I did their baptismal interview at night for a girl named Fergie. She was really shy, but I somehow got her to talk. She´s ten so I wasn´t expecting that much ;) To end my week, I have a story about a surprise in our house. We just found it there when we came home. I´ll show a video and pictures.

That´s the week! Love ya´ll and I just invite you to study up the Conference Talks because they are literally revelation for our day!

Mucho amor,
Elder Sobretodo
