It has a spectacular week!!!!! We finally had our first two baptisms!!! After opening an area and working a ton, the Lord has blessed us with baptizing His children! I am very thankful, especially, because opening an area has been a little difficult, but the members were awesome enough to send us these two referrals! #blessed haha but seriously, my companion and I can definitely see the fruits of our labors! :) Also, it was really cool the day that we had the baptisms! We baptized them on April 6th, the Anniversary of the Church and Jesus´ Birthday. I just want to say to Jillene thank you for your email; it was so uplifting to me! When I was reading it, I was thinking, when did my sister become a General Authority? ;) It was very inspirational to me and I thank you!
Well, this week was awesome, because on Monday, we found the Kuna family of gold!!! Kunas are the island peoples from San Blas and direct relatives to the Lamanites! They are really nice people, but we don´t find alot of them in the city. Well, we find them, but they become so accustomed to the city, that they don´t want religion. So, anyway, we got to their to house and Elder Call started talking to them in their language of Dule and we became instant friends! Then, we just continued to teach them this week and then the three of their daughters went to church yesterday! They´re super positivos :) Also, we found another very humble and postive family in Cosechas! The family is a widow with three daughters and they are super nice to us! They´re Catholics though, but when we taught them about authority they were agreeing with us the whole time. But, when we invited the family to baptism, they totally agreed, if they felt ready by he baptismal date! So, we´ll see how it goes; but I know that if we have faith in the Lord, He will touch the hearts of all people that we come in contact with!
Well, those are basically all the most important events that happened this week, other than this girl investigator that we haven´t taught that much just showed up to church. Haha I wasn´t complaing! She wants to come back! Also, it was really random, because she had someone living at her house from California who doesn´t speak a lick of Spanish (trust me I was the same way when I got to Panama XD), but she came to see the Church too! It was a blessing for her, because we have four white Elders in the ward who could translate what was happening. Sadly, she just went back to the US today, but I told her to look up the missionaries where she lives to learn more and get baptized if she wants! Hearing English now, honestly sounds so wrong to me, but I love it! It was cool stuff!
I guess that is all that I can think of that happened this week! It was awesome to hear about the mission calls of Tyler and Sarah! They will definitely love their missions I guarantee it :) A scripture that I love is Romans 1:16, ^^I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ...^^ I love this Gospel so much, that I can´t get enough of sharing it! Stay classy!
