This week was an eventful week. Especially Sunday. It was a normal Sunday as usual. When I discovered in the middle of sacrament meeting that my pants were ripped. So, we decided to go home as soon as the hour was over. And when it was over, we began to bike home when I heard a tishhhhhhhhhhh... And riding my bike felt a little funny. I dint leave the church parking lot to find that my tire had a flat. So, we had to wait until the end of sacrament to find someone with a truck to take us home. I had brought my winter coat and it went to my knees. Needless to say, I was wearing that for the rest of the hour. No matter how hot it was inside. This one sister had ankle pains and she was leaving in the middle of the class when right in front of us she tripped and fell. She had something to do with a torn ligament or something, so we helped her get to the car. And by the end of the class we find someone with a truck to take us and our bikes back. And by the time we get to our apartment it’s like 11:15. So I change my pants and my companion realizes that we don’t have time to repair the bike. So, we walked to the next sacrament meeting at 12pm. And everything seems normal for a little bit. Then one of our investigators at church told us that he doesn’t want to meet with us anymore. And that’s fine he was not as committed as we would have liked to be. and so, we dropped him in the area book. And as we were walking to the mission prep class to help out, I tell my companion "I think we are going to see a miracle soon" he asked me "why do you say that?" and I told him that it has been my experience that when something goes wrong the lord tends to trade that for something awesome. And he said that he is looking forward to that miracle.
and so now both of us are looking forward to the miracle to come.
earlier in the week we found someone new to teach. His name is Zacharias and he moved in recently. We had been over several times only to find the kids home. Friday, we had an impression to go by and he was actually home. He said we were welcome to come back and teach the kids. So, we are super excited about that.
On Saturday my companion turned to me and said, " would you like to be senior for the day?" so I said sure in response. It was hard at first, but it was awesome receiving a bunch of revelation one after another from the holy ghost. And I was thinking "dang this is the first time being a senior." I had always wanted to be a senior comp but Then I realized that it was not my first opportunity to be senior. My trainer tried to let me lead in the area. I said yes at first, but I did not actually do it. I did the same thing as usual. And so, he had to take back over because I was not actually doing anything.
Any who that’s all for now.
Sincerely
-Elder Nathan Merrick
