Hey! This week we had a zone service project. We all went an hour into the jungle to this sick jungle ranch. We gathered a whole bunch of dead sticks into different piles and set them all ablaze. It was quite the experience being surrounded by palm trees, toucans, and huge fires. Never thought I'd be the cause of global warming and the burning of the Amazon jungle.
We also said bye to President Hawkins this week. I guess after 3 years you have the right to be trunky. I caught him looking up the weather in California on his phone.
We also talked about using time wisely and goal setting. As I'm a week away from hitting the year mark, I can truly say that time FLIES when you're in the service of the Lord! There is no time to waste!
I love what good ol pmg says about goal setting. "Goals reflect the desires of our hearts and our vision of what we can accomplish. Through goals and plans, our hopes are transformed into action. Goal setting and planning are acts of faith." It reminds me of Luke 12:34: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Just like treasure, time is so precious! God has given us time in this life to smile, learn, grow, adventure, and become better people. The way we choose to spend our time reflects our heart, desires, and love for others and for God.
Let's all be 1% better with how we spend our time!
