Riberalta

Hola! This week I said lots of goodbyes. Always hard, but always good. On Wednesday I flew out to Riberalta, and was welcomed by some acai... I think we're gonna be ok!

Riberalta is awesome! It is SO green! It actually has some hills which is a nice change from Trinidad and Santa Cruz (insanely flat). The river that runs by the city actually connects to the Amazon river which is cool. Almost everyone here either works as a fisherman or harvests almonds.

My companion is Elder Cuentas, and he is an absolute stud!! It's interesting having a comp with a little more experience. I'm super stoked for this transfer with him!

On Saturday night we were teaching this sweet grandma and her family. We were teaching about the degrees of glory, and how faith is necessary, but also obedience to the commandments. We shared alma 36:1 that says "inasmuch (to the degree) as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land." The principle is the same for the heavens! To the degree that we keep the commandments, we will prosper in heaven! If we want to achieve the highest degree, and live with God and our families forever, we have to strive be obedient to all the commandments. Not just the easy ones. And when we need help, as we almost always do, the Atonement of Jesus Christ is ready.

The Hermana Digna is now on date to be baptized on April 9th with her grandson Demetrio!

Love y'all!
Que tengan un día bendecido
